Becky Rafe
Teacher
Becky grew up on Long Island and now lives in Astoria. She received her bachelor’s in physics, but she decided to continue her education and pursue a career in teaching, as she has always loved working with young children. Becky received her master’s degree from Bank Street College of Education in Early Childhood and Childhood Education and completed her New York State certification in 2018. This is her ninth year as a classroom teacher and she has worked with both 3- and 4-year-olds in private preschools in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Becky has loved being a part of the Mount Carmel community from the very beginning and looks forward to continuing to see it grow. She is excited to be working with Nina in the Red Room this year. In her free time Becky enjoys reading, playing games with friends, seeing Broadway shows, and exploring the city.
