Julie Wilson
Teacher
Julie grew up in Manhattan and now lives in Greenpoint with her husband and two sons. She earned her BA in English and worked in children’s book publishing before becoming a teacher through the New York City Teaching Fellows program.
She taught middle school special education while working towards her master’s degree at Queens College. She then worked as a school librarian while working on her degree in Library Science from Syracuse University.
Julie taught for two years at Positive Beginnings Preschool, working with 3- and 4-year-olds with special needs, before arriving at Mount Carmel, where her son was a student in the Red Room.
