Adriana Romanzo
Education Director

Adriana is thrilled to to be a part of The Mount Carmel ECC team and to serve as the Education Director. Adriana received a Masters in Literacy from Bank Street College of Education and a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Marywood University.
Adriana brings over a decade of experience working with children in Pre-K through Grade 5, both as a Head Teacher and Science Teacher, in Catholic and public school settings. One of her greatest joys is using inquiry and children’s interests to create engaging, place-based units of study that encourage children to think critically, collaborate, and discover the wonder of learning! In addition, she remains active with educational organizations in order to stay current with pilot programs, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
As the Education Director, Adriana fosters a culture of trust, teamwork, and creativity in order to support her teachers and help them grow as educators. She meets with each teaching team to assist them with creating enriching curriculums, share best practices, and create a welcoming space where everyone can ask questions and learn from one another. She also spends as much time as possible inside each classroom in order to become a familiar face and experience the “aha” moments right alongside the children!
In addition to working with the teachers, Adriana strives to ensure that each family feels welcomed, supported, and a valued partner in their child’s educational journey.
Outside of school, Adriana loves cooking, reading a great book, volunteering at her parish, and traveling to new and familiar places.
